I'm a 45 year old wife, retired teacher, sahm and I homeschool 9 year old Twins! I also have Fibromyalgia & CFS. After several years of homeschooling, I'm now ready to share this journey & season of life! I hope to bring a realistic approach & day in the life example's,
encouragement and lots of validation.
My name is Megan and I am 45, a Wife and Mama. I have boy girl twins who are 9! We share our home with 3 senior small rescue pups and 2 sassy fluffy cats! We live in North East Florida on a cute cul-de-sac nestled by great neighbors and woods. Now on to why I'm writing this-the short(er) version. I started showing flu body aches in 2007 while I was a very healthy, fit, & single teacher. In the beginning I had several bouts of mono, active epstein barr, a autoimmune panel that was all positive and high. Add on anxiety, rashes, hives and rosacea. Stress was always the answer but I oddly didn't have much. I had never had any anxiety prior to this either. Never the less, I continued to struggle on and off with these issues. Fast forward a few years, past a terrible car crash, very medically complicated birth of twins, inability to teach due to pain and fatigue and preemie twins. Stress was now thru the roof. we were a military family and we faced unknowns. At this point I still have had no answers by doctors. Then the straw that broke it all was my case of shingles. I was never the same after that and I knew I needed to seek another specialist. I went to Mayo. I left with one word. Fibromyalgia. That was over 4 years ago and my pain is still high and my symptoms very real today. Despite so many struggles and valley's, flares and frustration, I have made huge gains that I am so grateful for. The moment we started to focus on quality of life and accepting my new normal, everything changed. I realized my version of success would look different but could be possible. My entire spirit lifted and I knew I could do it. The pain was still there but healing and rest was occurring-literally. All of this of course did not happen over night and I had help along way! These are the parts of my life I want to share-the journey of how I got here and how it is going now. For full disclosure purposes, I don't have a magic secret or a cure by any means but I have climbed that mountain already and those steps made a difference. On that journey, I learned how to make motherhood and a book based homeschool work and manage my syndrome (as much as one can do) at the same time. I am hoping that I can give you some ideas that you can apply to your life and give you some encouragement in your journey.
God Bless and Keep the Faith! Megan

I designed this with Florida and Encouragement in mind. I chose some of my favorite quotes and scripture and made lots of rooms for notes and lists! Print 4 times for quarterly record keeping and keep a eye out for a seasonal change!
